Brief introduction

College of Agronomy and Biotechnology(CAB), formerly the Department of Agronomy of Yunnan University, founded in 1938 , is the first college established at Yunnan Agricultural University. Currently, the collegehas a total of 1240 students including 36 Ph.D. students, 220 master students, 984 undergraduate students. With the advantages of the diverse biological resources , diverse minority nationalities, and unique geographical features, CAB now owns high standard teaching and research facilities, distinctive talent cultivation pattern, and also has made outstanding achievements in research. Our college, as one of the best colleges at Yunnan Agricultural University, has made great contributions for the development of plateau characteristic agriculture, with generations’ efforts.
