E-CommerceUndergraduate

Introduction

E-commerce major is established in 2005. It equips students with basics of agricultural economy management and modern agribusiness, e-commerce theories and technology, and knowledge in cyber marketing and e-commerce laws, etc. After 4 years’ full time study, students are awarded a Bachelor’s degree in management. The graduates, being application-oriented, will be able to work in businesses, government agencies, financial institutions, stock exchanges, schools and research institutions.

Study Areas:

E-commerce major students will learn theories and principles of agricultural information resource management, agroeconomics and management, agri-products marketing, and international agri-products trade. They will also get trained in skills such as internet technology and economic information management. After graduation, students are supposed to have the ability to study and use e-commerce and information management systems in agriculture business, especially the ability to apply computer and network information system to market transactions.

Career Prospects:

With an E-commerce degree, students can seek employment in web design, web maintenance, web editing, cyber marketing, and marketing planning of products and services. Our graduates are also qualified for jobs in customer relation management, e-commerce project management, e-commerce event planning and operation, development and maintenance of e-commerce systems and e-commerce teaching in educational institutions.

Administrative Management (undergraduate)

Introduction

Administrative Management is newly established in 2012.It equips students with the principles and norms of modern administrative management, and basic theories of politics, public administration, management, laws, etc. After 4 years’ full time study, students are awarded a Bachelor’s degree in management. The graduates, being application-oriented, will be able to work as management personnel in government agencies, enterprises, public institutions and social organizations. They will be also the prospective researchers of administrative management and related studies.

Study Areas:

Students majoring in Administrative Management will learn the essential theories, knowledge and skills of administrative management. They will especially get trained in the abilities of public administration, decision making, coordinating, and using information technology. After graduation, students are supposed to have the basic quality to apply administration theories and regulations to solve problems.

Career Prospects:

With an Administrative Management degree, students can be employed as administrative staff in local governments, public institutions, communities and social organizations, or the administrative and executive staff in agricultural or other enterprises. They can also work as the researchers and teachers in relative research institutions and schools.

EconomicsUndergraduate

Introduction

Economics major is established in 1999. It equips students with essential theories and knowledge economics, the operation mechanism of market economy, national economic policies and regulations, and the history and current status of both Chinese and world economic development. Students are also required to know the academic trends in economics and develop the ability to conduct social economic investigations and analysis with quantitative analysis methods and modern technology. After 4 years’ full time study, students are awarded a Bachelor’s degree in economics.

Study Areas:

By studying Economics, students will learn the principles and analytical methods of Marxist economics and contemporary western economics. They will also have a good command of modern economic analytical methods and computer skills, which are especially important in forecasting, planning and strategic analysis of business opportunities. Students will also be familiar with the academic trend and prospects of economics at home and abroad, China’s economic system reform and development, and the national economic guidelines, policies, laws and regulations. Besides, they will be able to use the basic methods of document retrieval and data query so as to conduct some economic research.

Career Prospects:

After graduation, students can find themselves choosing a career from a wide range of industry sectors, including banking and finance, government agencies, resource management, media, marketing, and so on. Economics graduates can work as economic forecasters and analysts, economic researchers and teachers, executives in business, marketing, production, administration, personnel and finance. They can also be employed as civil servants, portfolio managers, stock brokers, equity analyst, etc.

Rural and Regional Development (Undergraduate

Introduction

Established in 1999, Rural and Regional Development major is committed to producing graduates who possess the essential theories and skills of modern development and rural development. After 4 years’ full time study, students are awarded a Bachelor’s degree in management. The graduates, being versatile and application-oriented, will be able to work in rural development control (development planning, monitoring and evaluating, organization and management, extension service, etc.) and teaching and research of rural development.

Study Areas:

Rural and Regional Development is an interdisciplinary, comprehensive and regional major, involving the fields like rural politics, economy, culture, society, environment, etc. It focuses on the local rural development as well as the rural development of Southeast Asian counties. By studying this major, students are supposed to gain a wide scope of knowledge, a strategic vision, good foreign language proficiency, and the ability to organize, communicate and coordinate in teamwork.

Career Prospects:

After graduation, students can find employment as town planners, project monitoring and evaluating personnel, organizers and executives in a range of agri-industry sectors, rural administrative departments, public institutions and NGOs.

Agri-forestry Economics and ManagementUndergraduate

Introduction

Established in 1984, Agri-forestry Economics and Management is a provincial key discipline. This major is committed to equip students with basic theories and knowledge of managerial science, economics and relative agri-forestry science, together with the Agri-forestry management methods and skills. After 4 years of full time study, students are awarded a Bachelor’s degree in management. The graduates, being creative, versatile and application-oriented, will be able to satisfy the need of social and economic development.
