Yunnan Rural Leader College held the trainees’ forum and summing-up meeting of the 5thtraining class for newly-appointed Party committee secretaries in towns and villages in the afternoon of Oct. 21, 2016 in YAU. Mr. Li Xiaosan, member of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Standing Committee, Director of the Organization Department of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, and First Associate-Dean of Yunnan Yunnan Rural Leader College, attended the meeting and gave an important speech. Mr. Yang Guozong, Deputy-Director of the Organization Department of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Secretary of the Non-Public Economic Organization and Social Organization Working Committee of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, and Associate-Dean of Yunnan Rural Leader College, also attended the meeting. Secretary of YAU’s Party Committee and Executive Dean of Yunnan Rural Leader College, Mr. Wu Bozhi, hosted the meeting. President of YAU and Associate-Dean of Yunnan Rural Leader College, Mr. Sheng Jun, and member of Internal Affair Council of the Organization Department of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Mr. Li Chaowen also came to the meeting.
Director Li Xiaoshan emphasized the significance of Yunnan Province in the training for the newly-appointed Party committee secretaries in towns and villages after the change of the term of office, and affirmed the achievements in training. He said that the training class was running on the theme of how to be a good secretary of Party committees in towns and villages, and invited experts to give lectures on solving the hot and difficult topics of towns and villages. The training also adopted many flexible forms including symposiums, case teaching, research teaching and on-the-spot teaching, which turned out to be practical and effective.”
Director Li Xiaosan points out that villages and towns are places for the cadres to experience trials and hardships, to broaden their visions, to practice skills and abilities, and to make contributions, as well as important platforms for the study and growth of the cadres. The secretaries of Party committees in towns and villages shoulder glorious missions and great responsibilities. Therefore, he urges the secretaries to reinforce the senses of responsibility and mission, improve their capabilities in performing duties constantly, and implement the decisions of the Central Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee in combination with the local reality. They should constantly improve their qualities and abilities to win the trust and support from the mass, and enhance the executive ability and impetus of their work. They need to upgrade their leading capacity in the process of solving problems, and carry out the team construction of the Party committees, cadres and Party members in towns and villages. Furthermore, the secretaries must care about the mass, take on responsibilities bravely with modesty, prudence and self-discipline, making themselves good cadres who are trusted by the Party and the mass, and contributing to the development of Yunnan Province.
Secretary Wu Bozhi expressed his hopes to the trainees on implementing the spirit of Director Li’s speech. First is to strengthen the building up of Party spirit consciously, put emphasis on Party spirit and good conduct, keeping the Party, people, duties and restrictions in heart. Second is to unify cognition, improve quality and ability to lead the cadres and the mass to work hard in unity, ensuring the decisions of the Central Committee and the Provincial Committee are carried out, and the tasks are implemented well. The Third is to strengthen self-education, applying the knowledge learned in the training to practice.
Six trainees of the 5thtraining class gave speeches in the meeting, sharing what they have gained in learning, and their experiences in studying and working. They expressed that they would apply what they have learned to their work.
Since Sept. 5, 2016, Yunnan Rural Leader College have held 5 training classes for the newly-appointed Party committee secretaries in towns and villages of Yunnan Province at the request of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and the Organization Department. With up to 1,339 people have been trained, the rotary trainings of newly-appointed Party committee secretaries in towns and villages were wrapped up, and the trainings basically covered the secretaries of the Party (working) committees of all the villages and towns (streets) in Yunnan Province.
